Seva Sadan Shiksha Mahavidyalaya is established in 2006 managed and administered by Seva Sadan Education Society, registered under Societies Registration act 1860 aims at imparting quality and need based education to students. The by-laws of the society enshrines the objective as ?to promote intellectual cultural and moral advancement of the people of the Tapti Valley and the surrounding territories?. Ever since its establishment, the college has been leaving no stone unturned to transform the college in to an institution of excellence in the field of Higher Education and professional education.
I feel inexplicably proud and honoured to be a part of this multi faculty centre of learning as its president. Ever since I took over this onerous responsibility as its head I have been relentlessly working to continue the mission launched by my able, erudite and efficient predecessors and add my share in its development process.
I am convinced that Educational institutions, especially Higher Education institution have a paramount responsibility to reform and re-establish the values in the society to withstand and encounter the unprecedented deterioration in value system of the society. Today higher education institutions are encountering a Janus-faced phenomenon. On the one hand the growing demand for career oriented education system which can cope with the unemployment problem and fulfill the consumerist demands. On the other hand the alarming deterioration in social and ethical values have resulted in the blind race for financial supremacy. An institution which sincerely aspires to achieve perfection and excellence must strike a qualitative equilibrium between these mutually contradictory and incompatible conditions.
Our objective and programmes are crystal clear. We do not compromise on quality in the process of providing excellent academic ambience, professionally qualified staff, good infrastructural amenities, well equipped laboratories and above all lush green gardens and eco- friendly environment. A UGC funded Girls? Hostel is being constructed to facilitate girls aspiring for higher education from far off villages so that we may also do our share in the process of women?s empowerment and female education.
Finally, dear students & parents, the choice of the right college is an important as the choice of the right subject. A wrong choice can radically alter and upset the whole direction of your life. Hence our aim is to be a friend, philosopher and guide in your academic career options. I would like to inform you that, we are launching a round the clock library and reading centre with E-library facility. You have immense potentialities , we are there to nurture them and channelize them in the right direction. We strive to help you to help yourselves .
